It’s with sadness that we note the passing of Brother Dick Gregg, a very active member of Council 11369 for several years.
Dick died February 12th at his home.
He is pictured above on the right.
He is pictured above, second from the right, at the dedication of the council’s Right to Life Billboard along I-680 and behind St Luke Parish in 2010.
Sadly, five of the eight men pictured including then-Bishop of Youngstown George Murry are no longer with us.
We know they are all with the Lord in heaven.
DICK GREGG’S STORY WITH THE KNIGHTS
Dick joined the Knights in 2004, becoming active immediately.
Above, Dick is speaking with Congressman Tim Ryan at one of our summer picnics at St Paul Monastery.
At that time, Ryan was a member of the Democrats for Life organization.
My apologies for the quality of some pictures, taken from printed monthly newsletters that predated the website.
I’m so thankful for Dick’s council work at bingo nights, spaghetti dinners, pancake breakfasts, raffle ticket sales and of course our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives.
He lived his faith, speaking with real conviction on life issues.
He even traveled with the late Brother Paschal to Washington DC for several of the annual March for Life events that Brother Paschal attended faithfully for so many years.
There will be a Calling Hours for Dick at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield chapel Tuesday February 27 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
A memorial service follows there at 11 a.m.
