Will We Sell 900+ Raffle Tickets?

The statewide 2026 Cash Bonanza Charity Raffle is winding down.

Will Council 11369 sell 900 tickets and make its quota?

We have a ways to go.

528 tickets were turned in April 1st for our first turn-in.

Tickets for the final turn-in should be in Vic’s hands by Monday May 11th so he was time to compile everything and meet the state deadline.

Thanks Brother Knights for another great ticket-selling year!

Let’s make it even greater!!

Text Vic at 330 509-5887 to get more tickets or turn in sold tickets and money.

First Ash Wednesday Social

Perhaps it’ll turn into something bigger next year.

As it was, the Knights social gathering after Distribution of Ashes at 6 p.m. on Ash Wednesday was a pleasant get-together of eight Knights, St Paul brothers, and a terrific lady.

We gathered in the Saint Paul dining hall and enjoyed shrimp, cheese, olives, pretzel sticks, grapes and candied pecans thanks to Gene and Janet DeCapua.

There was also pizza, beverages and lots of pleasant conversation.

Knights Get Some Bingo Help

Plenty of help for Austinwoods residents playing bingo on February 11.

Knights members who regularly host the events were joined by members of the Austintown Fitch High School Junior Air Force ROTC Program.

The residents played bingo, some won prizes, and all got pop and chips when the games were over.

GFK Says Sorry for Council-Wide 2nd Dues Notice

Here a recent email from GK Pete Rich, as we try to understand how the mass email system works:

There was at least one email that went out about second notice for dues.

One member called me today noting that he paid for his dues and got the second notice email.

There are 27 members that paid dues as of this week and Frederick in one of them.

It was probably my error since I’m not “up to speed” on the intricacies of Member Billing or it could be a glitch with the system of which I have not seen a response from Supreme yet.

If you have paid disregard the 2nd notice.

Knights Assist with YFF Event

14 Knights of Columbus Council 11369 members got the new year off to a great start, working the first event of the year on Sunday January 4th.

The members joined the St Michael Men’s Club in serving pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice, milk and more to 200 people in the Family Life Center.

It was the bi-annual Youth Faith Formation breakfast to start off 2026.

Children and their families were in the center between the 9 a.m. and 11:30 Masses.

Thanks for getting the job done well men!

Dues Statements Sent Out

Have you seen something like the above in your email?

K of C Council 11369’s officers sent out a 2026 dues billing statement by email on December 11.

A followup email was sent more recently.

Annual dues is $50 with some exceptions, certainly for members of the clergy.

You can also “Gimme 5” by adding $5 to benefit the council’s annual Measure Up campaign to benefit Special Olympics and other designated charities that serve the developmentally disabled.

And you don’t have to wait for the email.

Knights Deliver Coats

After purchasing a double order of winter coats in order to access a better price, Knights Council 11369 brothers delivered coats to several charities we serve on a continuing basis.

Above, Brother Mark Curtis drops off a box to Dorothy Day House in Youngstown.

And there were more boxes to come!

Also, Brother Knight Mike Vince is pictured above, making a delivery to Emmanuel House in Girard.

Our annual sales of raffle and Football Craz-R tickets make these donations possible.

Knights Help Set Up Food Distribution

Five Council 11369 members joined in with other volunteers with Operation Blessing on November 13th, setting the stage for the November 20th food distribution.

We unloaded the Rulli Bros truck starting at 8:20.

From there, cases of food were categorized, with some of the delivery staged at the bagging tables, so the food bags for Thanksgiving dinners could be assembled.

This took place at Canfield Methodist Church, the temporary location for Operation Blessing.

Given the SNAP situation, it’s not certain what kind of demand there will be on the 20th.
