A couple of initial projects have been completed at the St Paul Monastery, part of the council’s effort to update the Unborn Babies Memorial next to the St Anthony Roadside Shrine on Route 224 in Ellsworth Township.

A 300-foot waterline has been installed across the St Paul property, ending behind the shrine building.

This waterline and hydrant will allow for easier watering of plants and new trees at both the memorial and in front of the shrine.

And the older plantings beside the memorial monument have been removed, thanks to the great neighbors of St Paul on Route 224.

Future plans at the memorial include the new plantings as well as a bench and removal of the steel pipe barrier in front of the memorial.
