K of C Council 11369 is true to the watchword of our order: Charity. Here are our regular yearly activities:
- Andy Skrobola Memorial Holiday Food Drive: Along with several other Canfield non-profit organizations, we collect and supply food for needy families in our community each Thanksgiving and Christmas. (see above).
- Measure Up: We collect funds for those developmentally disabled individuals in our community. This is part of a statewide K of C effort, with fundraisers on the last weekend of April or first weekend in May.
- Clergy Dinner: This is a terrific Greater Youngstown Chapter Knights of Columbus event. The council works to get our priests and brothers to this October dinner. And it’s a great time for us too!
- Matching Funds: The council donates $100 each September for educational resources available at the diocesan library on West Wood Street. The money is matched by funds from the state foundation. That money comes from our annual raffle ticket sales.
- Rosaries for First Holy Communicants: Each boy and girl receiving their First Communion at St. Michael Parish receives a rosary, courtesy of our council.
